What is the point of all the tweeting?

I've been back sweeping for a few weeks now, which has meant a lot of tweeting... but I don't see the point.  What is the incentive to an advertiser?  Other than another sweeper chasing a prize, who reads it or digs deep enough to explore their brand?  What am I missing?

Prize Goal - C and C fun - Sleepsonic For Kids Stereo Speaker Pillow

When My Liege and Princess Peanut go to sleep, they love to have music or the audio from their favorite TV show (e.g., Little Einsteins) playing.  It really does seem to help them chill down.  The Sleepsonic for Kids Stereo Speaker Pillow looks like it would be a great for them.  Conveniently, Any Lucky Day is currently giving one away this weekend.

New Year's Resolution

I took several steps back from serious sweeping in 2009.  I played scrabble on-line, tended my farm in FarmVille, reaquainted with old friends on Facebook... but I've missed the rush of WINNING!   The little thrills when I check my email.  So it is 2010... AND I'M BACK!

It is time to check out the status of my favorite tools and explore the new tools out there.  Part of the fun of this blog will be having a vehicle to discuss these options with my sweeps friends.  Any favorite sites out there besides and that I need to check out?

How about Forms tools for Windows?  I cannot imagine anything beating RoboForm... but if there is, I'd like to hear about it.  Similarly, anyone found a  Forms tool that is compatible with Android 2.0?

Some times I'll ramble... some times, I'll post sweeps from other bloggers.   Either way, this should be festive.

Prize Goal C and C fun - HP TouchSmart 600 Giveaways

As I've discussed, my niece and nephew are growing up with a strong geek influences. At 3 and 5, they are pretty good with a mouse... but they'd be even further empowered WITH A TOUCH PANEL.   I was quite excited to find that five of the bloggers from BlogHer.com were each giving away one of these awesome computers:
  1. Kelly’s Korner at http://kellyskornerreviews.blogspot.com/2009/12/hey-who-wants-to-win-free-computer.html
  2. A Year of Slow Cooking at http://totallytogetherreviews.blogspot.com/2009/12/hp-touchsmart-computer-review-and-give.htm;
  3. My Charming Kids at http://mckgiveaways.blogspot.com/2009/12/hp-touchsmart-giveaway.html
  4. The NieNie Dialogues at http://nienie-reviews.blogspot.com/2009/12/hp-touchsmart-giveaway_09.html
  5. BooMama at http://boomama.net/hp-touchsmart-600-giveaway/

Having had Compaq/HP computers for more years than I care to count, starting with my Compaq Portable (that's right, not the II or III, but the original) that I took to Lehigh with me in the mid-80s, I am confident that they are tough enough to take anything abuse C&C can dish out.

WIN REPORT - Week ending 12/19

I got two notifications this week.  Nothing huge, but nothing to sneeze at either:
  •  Your entry in the WeShop “Consumer Power” Sweepstakes has been selected as a Weekly Prize winner! It is our pleasure to inform you that you have won: $100 awarded in the form of a check

  • Because you accepted the invitation from ____ on Facebook to join the wimgo Christmas Club, you have won a $100 VISA gift card!
Upon hearing the news, my sister (aka C&C's mommy) declared, "Should we call you Madame C-note?"  For her witty retort, she earns a shout out for her blog, "Sue's Low Frills Zone" http://suesweeps.blogspot.com

Prize Goal C and C fun - Sid the Science Guy

My niece and nephew are geeks. Their mom has dual degrees in Chemical Engineering and Computer Science. Their father is a Ceramics Engineer who teaches high school Physics. Aunt ML is a database admin for an environmental consulting firm, so I'm no help in counterbalancing the inherent geekiness of their parents. It comes as no surprise that Sid the Science Guy on PBS is one of their favorite shows.

Needless to say, I was quite excited to see this evening that blog "Bullfrogs & Butterflies Baby" is hosting a giveway for the new Sid the Science Kid Plush Talkin' Sid this week.

Prize Goal - C and C fun -- SweetPea3 MP3 player

My Liege (CZM) is already attached to his mom's iPod  and I fear for it all the time.  Before he and his sister, Princess Peanut (CFM), start fighting over it (and break it) I think I'm going to have to invest some Auntie Claus dollars in one of these indestructible mp3 players... assuming I cannot manage to win one from GoGrahamGo of course.
